Admission Process

  1. School Visit:

We encourage you to take the time to make sure ILHAM Dhaka International School (IDIS) is the right school for your son or daughter. Before applying, all families are invited to visit our school in person. The Schedule can be made via our online form, and we would be pleased to welcome you to our school by appointment:

Our skilled admissions team welcomes families from diverse backgrounds for discussions on how we can support a student’s needs and aspirations. We can also arrange for you to meet one of our academic coordinators and principal. We recommend you come and visit on a normal school day, during term time, to fully appreciate the special spirit that defines Ilham Dhaka International School. (IDIS).

        2. Form Purchase:

Forms can be purchased at any time of the year from the school’s admission desk. The form is also available for download on the application page.

Failure to disclose special needs may result in the withdrawal of the student’s enrolment.

  1. Assessment and Interview
  • All applications undergo a thorough review by the Principal. If an applicant meets the Selection Criteria, he/she along with parents will then be invited to the school for an assessment.
  • The Assessment Process and Selection Criteria vary depending on the child’s age and entry point.
  • In addition to evaluating current academic and linguistic abilities, our procedures assess the applicant’s character and their potential to thrive in our dynamic learning environment. [senior section]
  1. The Decision

Each child’s application, including the application form, assessment results, and reports from previous schools (if any), will be reviewed by the Principal. The Principal will ultimately decide whether to extend an offer. After the decision has been made, parents will receive notification from a member of the Admissions Team regarding the application’s next steps.

  1. Enrolment

Congratulations! Upon a successful application, a Letter of Acceptance will be presented, along with an Acceptance Form, details about an invoice for the Admission Fee, and a copy of the School’s Terms & Conditions booklet.

The Acceptance Form must be duly signed and returned along with the Admission Fee within the specified timeframe outlined in the Letter of Acceptance. Failure to adhere to the deadline may result in the withdrawal of the offer.
